about

OK folks, joining the legions of musicians making lockdown music at home, but with a bit of a twist.

I made this track for my podcast House Music with Steve Pretty (check out episode 3.5 on the feed to hear it in context). All improvised as I went, then a bit of mixing and post production, but not enough that it doesn't still feel a bit rough and ready.

This is me on trumpet, Fender Rhodes, Moog Grandmother, percussion, Folktek Resonant Garden, Eventide H9s and shruti box.

And it's Matt Russo (University of Toronto) on physics/maths/harp/planetary orbit visuals, interpreting planetary system K2-138 on harmonious orbits. As introduced to me by my astronomer chum Chris Lintott, who features on episode 4 of the House Music podcast.

Just casually improvising with a planetary system 600 light years away, then making an ambient track out of it.

I'M FINE THOUGH, DON'T WORRY.
